Scott Base
The new wastewater treatment plant was delivered to Scott Base in early February, 2002.

Prior to its delivery, foundations were constructed by staff at Scott Base. The foundations are a bolted, prefabricated steel frame supporting structure mounted on precast concrete pads.

The new wastewater treatment plant was designed to be "plugged in" at Scott Base, with provision for rapid connection to the existing services at Scott Base. All engineering services were arranged for connection through an insulated duct at the upper level between the plant and the Stage 8 building at Scott Base. The services provided at Scott Base included:
- space heating by warm air extracted from the adjacent ablutions block
- pressurized wastewater lines from four different sources
- hot and cold potable water
- three phase electrical power
- fire alarm and fire sprinkler
- telephone and public addresstreated effluent discharge via the existing heat traced gravity pipeline to the ocean
